PM tells Barisan to close ranks, stop infighting
Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak urged all in Barisan Nasional to close ranks and stop infighting ahead of impending general elections.
“We have to be ready and our preparation must be all-encompassing. But most importantly, we must not create problems,” he said at a briefing session Federal Territories level organised by Barisan.
He cited examples of disgruntled party members sabotaging election campaigns by not helping out, even as recently as the Sarawak elections in April.
“I know all this because I’ve been in politics for 35 years. I have seen a lot of and incidents and been through many experiences,” he said in a packed Dewan Merdeka, in Putra World Trade Center.
